Jon Hamm, the Mad Men, Makes Appearance on the Big Screen
Posted by adminWell, I am not a TV guy. Books and magazines are enough to keep me busy. Only one TV show is here which I am a hard core fan of and whose episodes I can never forget to watch. It’s Mad Men, the popular AMC Network series. Ever since thebeginning of the series, me and my cousin have been watching the episodes of the series. And, I must say, it’s getting better and better as the time passes by.
As of now, we all have set our sights on the third season of Mad Men which is to be premiered on August 16, 2009. Before it returns with the new episodes, let’s see what our favorite celebrities of Mad Men are doing nowadays.
In such scenario, the first name which hits my mind is of Jon Hamm. We better know him as Don Draper of Mad Men. Don is an advertising executive and his role has helped him to gain world wide attention. In 2008, Jon’s Mad Men role helped him to earn a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Actor in a Drama Series. As of now, the man has been cast to portray an important character on Ben Affleck’s, the actor and director, movie ‘The Town’. As per the news confirmed by Hollywood reporter, the movie is a romantic crime thriller which tells the story of a bank manager (Rebecca Hall), the career criminal (Affleck) she has fallen for and the FBI agent (Hamm) who is trying to catch him.
The movie is derived from Chuck Hogan’s book ‘Prince of Thieves’. The shooting would begin in September in Boston. No doubts it’s great news for the fans of Don Draper, a.k.a., Jon, as we would see our favorite star on big screen. Let’s see whether he would repeat the same success, that of Mad Men, on the big screen or sets news standards of success.
