With creator Matthew Weiner providing some hints on how Mad Men would drop down the curtains soon, all eyes must be on actor Jon Hamm.

The actor hasn’t spoken about the show’s upcoming final season, after Matthew’s statement. The show creator claimed that protagonist Don Draper would get a chance to meet his destiny.

He, however, added that the 84-year-old would not surrender himself to the cold hands of death; rather he would reach where he is supposed to be.

The final season is likely to hit the screens by next year, and according to Matthew, the season might take a leaf out of a recently ended one.

He emphasized on the aspect of reality that would find the center stage in season 5.

During his tête-à-tête, he tried to make a point that for a greater part of time, Don would be seen taking a stroll down memory lane and re-visiting all those years, he had lived.

It sounds like it would be a moving end to an award winning show, doesn’t it?

Anyway, at present, the hot topic of discussion is Jon Hamm’s silence over the show’s end.

Does it mean that he is in the dark about how the series would conclude?

Or is it that he wants the hype to build to a crescendo, which would be the right time to talk about the future Mad Men episodes?

Well, I don’t know the right reason behind the actor’s ‘adamant’ approach, but let me inform you, that before he takes a trip down memory lane in the shoes of Don Draper, he is busy buying time for his lady love, Jennifer Westfield.

A few weeks ago, the couple was seen taking a leisurely stroll and that too with their beloved dog, giving them company.

Perhaps, the actor was discussing his plans for the future with his ladylove during the walk in Los Felix, California.

And given the fact that Mad Men would end its run by 2012, Jon Hamm has no other option, but to consider all the possibilities of getting back in business.

I wonder how much tired is Jon Hamm of handling parties, one after the other, these days.

The actor did not attend one party, but was a part of two major occasions, one after another.

To bring up the one at the moment, firstly, I would like to mention the private dinner party, which was arranged by the creative director of Elle magazine, Joe Zee and Tod’s, at Chateau Marmont lately.

Along with our dashing Jon Hamm, a few other celebrities were also invited for the dinner. This included the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Westfeldt, Jessica Biel and Hailee Steinfeld.

Well, I know we were not a part of this get-together, but still, if you want to spend some time with Jon, then I have quite the simple solution for you.

Simply watch Mad Men online!

No escape for him!

Now, let’s move on to the next party revelation.

This one was associated with the celebrations of GQ Men of the year.

And you know what!

This one too took place at Chateau Marmont.

And Jon Hamm was present at this occasion as well.

Of course, these events were not happening on the same day; but yes, it is a kind of ‘second in a row party’ for Jon at Chateau Marmont, along with Jessica Biel, and Justin Timberlake, who was the honoree at the GQ Men of the year.

And lemme tell you, Jon was looking really hot, as he always does.

The women are envious of her, and the men drool over her!

Christina Hendricks is indeed, the symbol of perfection, that is so rare to find in today’s weight-obsessed world.

Not only is this lady beautiful in every sense of the word, but she also knows it, and loves to flaunt it!

So where does that confidence to be proud of her curves and old-school looks in the age of size-zero models come from?

Christina attributes her unconventional attitude and self-confidence to being born up in a small town in Idaho.

She laughs, saying that they were probably the last people in the country to get a VCR and a cable connection, but that backwardness is exactly what helped in keeping her away from the obsession with glamour, and realizing that she was perfect just the way she was.

When Christina forayed into the modeling industry, one of the first demands that was made of her was to lose weight.

While most other actresses her age were busy crash dieting and starving themselves to attain ‘perfect’ figures, Christina refused to as much as shed a pound.

Looking back at the time, she remembers thinking of how silly her agent was, to tell her to lose weight, because she believed that her shape was because of her bone structure and none of that was going to change, even if she lost weight.

Christina later called it quits with this agent, when she accepted the offer to work on Mad Men, against his advice.

Apparently, the actress wished to work on the show because she loved the script, but the agent was against it, because of the network it was on.

As always, Christina followed her heart, and accepted the role, which ended up being a life-changing move for her, not just professionally, but also personally.

After all, it was on this very show that she met the man who was to be her future husband, Geoffrey Arend!

Hollywood has got its youngest fashion icon!

And it is none other than our little Mad Men star, Kiernan Shipka.

Yes! Our little star, who has not even entered her teens, is already making waves with her amazing fashion sense.

She has a designer wardrobe which is truly enviable and is the dream of any girl.

Kiernan has a huge collection of top notch designers like Marc Jacobs, Paul and Joe, Stella McCartney, Cole Haan and so on.

Phew! That’s a little too much for an 11 year old, don’t you think!

But I have to say, she does seem spectacular, whenever she steps out, but sometimes we get the feeling that she dresses a little too maturely. I mean, she is just 11! She should be wearing those cute pink skirts with bright, lacy tops and those cute hair accessories!

All of that seems missing from Kiernan’s wardrobe.

And I wonder what she will look like, when dressed in those cute little frocks, with all those girly accessories.

The star has a high taste for fashion and one can see that, not just in her McCartney handbag, Burberry hat and Chanel sunglasses, but also in her talks.

Yes! The star talks about her personal style like a professional stylist.

She can give all these Hollywood stylists a run for their money, if she wants to! We must warn all these fashion gurus to keep their fingers crossed and keep praying that Kiernan sticks to her acting, after growing up, or else, these guys will have to search for some other business!

And Kiernan seems to be a perfect role model for all these teenagers!

No wonder that the kid’s designer wear market is seeing a tremendous growth, irrespective of the recession, because if such celebs will adorn these labels, regular kids are bound to follow!

Hey Guys!

If the last year’s stint wasn’t enough, then just watch out for Jon Hamm when he sets out to make a riposte performance in next year’s SNL. The mighty star has gone from strength to strength ever since he starred in Mad men episodes.

This startling fact was let loose by none other than his Mad-Men co-star Rich Sommer in a recent interview. By the look of the things, Rich seems to be a Jon Hamm Fan too.

Did it ever cross your mind that Jon Hamm would be seen in such a role? The obvious answer would be a straightforward ‘No’. I guess, all the viewers think that way because Jon’s last year’s stretch of hosting was nothing short of a comedy. Well, that’s what we call a win-win situation. There is a great thing about all the stars that is they are blessed with so much talent. Not only this, they take a lot of pain to improve their skills so that the audience never face any dull moment while watching them.

Speaking of dull moments, I certainly can’t remember getting bored for even a single moment while watching his smash hit show Madmen. Yes friends you guessed it right, The Color Blue was the name of the episode 10 of the season three of Mad Men. This episode was quiet amusing as is visible from the title. The episode was all about reality and its perception. The episode was named after a question asked by one of the student from Sally’s former school teacher, Suzanne. This episode brought Mad Men back to its original flavor of reality bound by nostalgia. The episode was an interesting one as compared to last week’s episode.  The expertise of Don Draper ( Jon Hamm ) in advertising and the past mysteries of his life were unfolded.

The episode showed an excited Don as he was to be awarded with the recognition as the Face of the Sterling Cooper advertising agency on the eve of the company’s 40′th anniversary. This all was to be done at a huge banquet.  In the mean while his charm was soon to be lost as his wife Betty ( January Jones ) was trying to unlock the mystery of the locked drawer. What remains to be seen is that will his sexy wife be able to find out that Don is not that person which every one knows him as? So the next week’s episode might unwind the mystery surrounding Don.

This is a specialty of the show that it always leaves the viewers wondering about the next episode. The producer, Matthew Weiner knows how to maintain his show’s prominence.

This is what made the show such a success. Mad Men has always received positive remarks from the critics for its historical authenticity. The show depicts the changing social environment of the 1960′s at its best. This multi award winning show has made a special place in the hearts of the audiences in such a short span. The beautiful depiction of the life of people in an advertising agency acts as the show stealer.

They say that behind every successful man there is woman. And behind very successful Mad Men there is a team of women. You got it right folks the chauvinistic world of Mad Men is created by a team which is dominated by women. All those smooth talking, chain smoking, misogynist advertising executives on the show have been the creation of a team whose seven out of nine members are women. It’s nothing, for in the coming season out of the total 13 episodes, 5 are going to be directed by women. Show is a heady mix of inspiration drawn from the personal experiences and perspectives of these talented and bright women.

The main business of male executives in Sterling Cooper is to ogle their secretaries while sipping vodka. When agency partner Roger Sterling cheered up creative director Don Draper saying that “When God closes a door, he opens a dress” it was in the same spirit. In another instance, Roger responded to the query about what women want with “Who cares?”

Though the story revolves around Don Draper and his obscure past, the writers of the series insist that the pivotal part of the series is its complicated female characters. “It’s less skewed than it appears.” says consulting producer Maria Jacquemetton.

When the team was debating whether Betty Draper, the fictional 1960s housewife of advertising executive Don Draper, should have a one-night-stand in a smoky Manhattan bar all the men voted against it. It was unimaginable that Betty should compromise her integrity like that but the women differed.

After all her husband’s infidelities, “how the hell is she going to take Don back if she doesn’t do this?” executive story editor Robin Veith asked.

Out of this whole debate was born the scene where Betty sleeps with the stranger in second season finale. How her this step affects her attitude and her future will be revealed in the current season 3 of Mad Men which premiered on August 16.

The countdown has begun for the third season of Mad Men, the popular AMC Network series. The season would hit our TV screens on August 16, 2009. And, the network has released a short promo of the upcoming season in order to let the fans know what Mad Men season 3 would be like.  You can go here to watch Mad Men episodes!

Since the announcement of the third season, it’s being said that it would continue from the ending point of the second season. The second season of Mad Men ended with the Cuban Missile Crisis when all the Sterling Cooper employees were feeling threatened with job insecurity. The events were set in 1962.

The third season would, most probably, be set in 1964 as the series creator Matthew Weiner has no intentions to include the 1963 John F. Kennedy assassination. We would also see some new faces as Mad Men would make its return. Some of those would be seen as recurring characters and several would make guest appearances on the show.

And, now you don’t need to worry about the fact that the episodes of season are going to be cut short to accommodate ads’. The issue has been sorted out. Actually, the problem was that the AMC Network wanted to devote two minutes per episode to ads but Weiner was not willing for so. Now, it’s planned to add some extra minutes to all episodes, therefore each episode would go beyond one hour. Weiner confirmed it by saying “It’s wonderful to have partners who can respond to both a business and creative challenge in such a satisfying way.” So, everything is all right!

Anyways, everybody has set sights on the upcoming episodes of the series. But I still have no details about the season third opener, neither about the storyline nor even the title. AMC Network has not released any details officially. No body knows why the network is hesitant to make it public. Well, if anybody has any informationw, please, please let me know. I am dying to know the details of ‘Mad Men’ season 3!

Not following the tendency to make the debut of its seasons in mid-July, the AMC network would bring Mad Men tv show back, with the third season, in the month of August. The Network has not given any specific dates; just an indemnity is here that the show would be back. The show representatives said that most probably, the premiere dates would be made public in the next two-three weeks. Hey, why do you people always like to keep us in suspense? Anyways, let’s see when the mystery gets solved, and we are told the exact dates of Mad Men season 3 premiere.

Production has been begun, the cameras started rolling this Monday, and the selection of new faces has also been started. The first name is of Jared Harris. He would join Mad Men in the third season of series, and would portray a major role. His character would be of Lane Pryce, the agency’s financial officer. The faces that would make their return on this season of Mad Men include, Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, January Jones and Christina Hendricks etc. John Slattery would make a guest appearance.

Matthew Weiner, the creator of Mad Men, would also return as he has signed a new deal with Lionsgate TV, the producer of the show. As per the deal, Matthew Weiner would stay along with the show for next two seasons, and would also work for other TV and movie projects, side by side.

In the end of the second season of Mad Men, in the episode entitled ‘Meditations in an Emergency‘, we saw Don Draper and his Madison Avenue cohort, in the late 1962. Most probably, the things would be picked from the point, on which they were left in the second season finale.

Though Mad Men is on hiatus, but I am still crazy for this awesome drama. It’s not easy for me to forget a TV show which I liked so much. Who the hell can take the dare to do so? Well, I think, I can’t. I am still watching the episodes of series. How? Oh come on, I’ve downloaded both seasons of Mad Men and I watch them whenever my heart tells me to do so.
I’ve very recently watched the second season of Mad Men so writing my reviews on my favorite episodes of ‘Mad Men’. In ‘Flight 1’, we saw that Paul introduced someone special to all his colleagues. Peggy had a dinner with her family. In ‘The New Girl’, we saw that Joan found Don a wonderful secretary. On the other hand, Don found himself in the center of the issues of Jimmy, a TV comedian and his wife, Bobbie. According to me, the best episode of second season was ‘The Gold Violin’. Here we saw that Don’s secretary made a severe error which resulted in her confrontation with Joan. Cooper’s new piece of art attracted the interest of all employees working at Sterling Cooper. On the other hand, Betty learned a dreadful truth from Jimmy.

‘A Night to Remember’ was really worth to be remembered so I still remember it. Here, we saw that Duck and Don tried to appeal to a new market demographic. Harry’s department was dealing with heavy workload and he found assistance from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Peggy is convinced by father Gill to become a part of a pro-bono church project.

Well, for me ‘The Jet Set’ was also very fantastic. Don took a business trip to Los Angeles. We saw him hooking up with some new acquaintances. Sexy Peggy was in mood of an office romance.

Season finale ‘Mediations in an Emergency’ showed Don and Betty learning about some distressing news. Besides the above mentioned ones, ‘The Mountain King’, ‘Six Month Leave’ and ‘Three Sundays’ were also very enjoyable.
