The countdown has begun for the third season of Mad Men, the popular AMC Network series. The season would hit our TV screens on August 16, 2009. And, the network has released a short promo of the upcoming season in order to let the fans know what Mad Men season 3 would be like.  You can go here to watch Mad Men episodes!

Since the announcement of the third season, it’s being said that it would continue from the ending point of the second season. The second season of Mad Men ended with the Cuban Missile Crisis when all the Sterling Cooper employees were feeling threatened with job insecurity. The events were set in 1962.

The third season would, most probably, be set in 1964 as the series creator Matthew Weiner has no intentions to include the 1963 John F. Kennedy assassination. We would also see some new faces as Mad Men would make its return. Some of those would be seen as recurring characters and several would make guest appearances on the show.

And, now you don’t need to worry about the fact that the episodes of season are going to be cut short to accommodate ads’. The issue has been sorted out. Actually, the problem was that the AMC Network wanted to devote two minutes per episode to ads but Weiner was not willing for so. Now, it’s planned to add some extra minutes to all episodes, therefore each episode would go beyond one hour. Weiner confirmed it by saying “It’s wonderful to have partners who can respond to both a business and creative challenge in such a satisfying way.” So, everything is all right!

Anyways, everybody has set sights on the upcoming episodes of the series. But I still have no details about the season third opener, neither about the storyline nor even the title. AMC Network has not released any details officially. No body knows why the network is hesitant to make it public. Well, if anybody has any informationw, please, please let me know. I am dying to know the details of ‘Mad Men’ season 3!

Not following the tendency to make the debut of its seasons in mid-July, the AMC network would bring Mad Men tv show back, with the third season, in the month of August. The Network has not given any specific dates; just an indemnity is here that the show would be back. The show representatives said that most probably, the premiere dates would be made public in the next two-three weeks. Hey, why do you people always like to keep us in suspense? Anyways, let’s see when the mystery gets solved, and we are told the exact dates of Mad Men season 3 premiere.

Production has been begun, the cameras started rolling this Monday, and the selection of new faces has also been started. The first name is of Jared Harris. He would join Mad Men in the third season of series, and would portray a major role. His character would be of Lane Pryce, the agency’s financial officer. The faces that would make their return on this season of Mad Men include, Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, January Jones and Christina Hendricks etc. John Slattery would make a guest appearance.

Matthew Weiner, the creator of Mad Men, would also return as he has signed a new deal with Lionsgate TV, the producer of the show. As per the deal, Matthew Weiner would stay along with the show for next two seasons, and would also work for other TV and movie projects, side by side.

In the end of the second season of Mad Men, in the episode entitled ‘Meditations in an Emergency‘, we saw Don Draper and his Madison Avenue cohort, in the late 1962. Most probably, the things would be picked from the point, on which they were left in the second season finale.

Heya friends !!!

Good news for all the fans those are mad for the Mad Men show.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards people have taken out the list of nominees to award the best of the talent in the year 2008.

And our very favorite show Mad Men has been featured thrice in this list.
And here is the list for all of you to read too. The competition seems to be tough but Mad Men would surely wrestle out the award.

First let me tell you about Ensemble nominations in Drama, where competing with Mad Men, the show which on a previous occasion has once won this award are House, Boston Legal, Dexter and The Closer.
Here are the names for the nominees in the comedy category for the same award. Entourage, 30 Rock, Weeds, The Office and Desperate Housewives.

Mad Men is there on the nominee list of the award for Best Drama Series Actor too. Jon Hamm, playing the role of Don Draper in the show is there with James Spader and William Shatner from Boston Legal along with Michael C. Hall (Dexter) and Hugh Laurie (House).

In the ladies department, Elizabeth Moss, who enacts the role of Peggy Olson in Mad Men is there with Sally Field of Brothers & Sisters, Holly Hunter (Saving Grace), Mariska Hargitay for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer).

Of course we all know that this is no new thing for Mad Men to get into nominee list like that. In the 60th Emmy award function, the show had already achieved the distinction of being the third most nominated show, with around sixteen nominations in their kitty, while bagging the position of the most nominated show in the drama category.

Still, my wishes and prayers are with the show and the cast, hoping another feather would be added to their hat.

The awards function is to be held on 25th January, 2009 and I am eagerly waiting for the results.

Heya friends!!!

Long time since I posted here. Got some wonderful news to share with all of you Mad Men fans. Thirty three year old Christina Hendricks, the very sensual and sexy chief secretary, Joan Holloway, in Mad Men, is now engaged to a fellow actor, the thirty year old Geoffrey Arend.

What??? Did I hear some hearts breaking???

Come on guys, the couple looks so sweet and nice together.

As per reports going around, a wedding date is yet to be finalized and as and when it happened I would surely keep you up to date.

So big congratulations to the couple from my side for the new innings they are starting. You too pen down special wishes for Christina and Geoffrey in the comment section below.

Though ‘Mad Men’ is on hiatus, but I am still crazy for this awesome drama. It’s not easy for me to forget a TV show which I liked so much. Who the hell can take the dare to do so? Well, I think, I can’t. I am still watching the episodes of series. How? Oh come on, I’ve downloaded both seasons of Mad Men and I watch them whenever my heart tells me to do so.

I’ve very recently watched the second season of Mad Men so writing my reviews on my favorite episodes of ‘Mad Men’. In ‘Flight 1’, we saw that Paul introduced someone special to all his colleagues. Peggy had a dinner with her family. In ‘The New Girl’, we saw that Joan found Don a wonderful secretary. On the other hand, Don found himself in the center of the issues of Jimmy, a TV comedian and his wife, Bobbie. According to me, the best episode of second season was ‘The Gold Violin’. Here we saw that Don’s secretary made a severe error which resulted in her confrontation with Joan. Cooper’s new piece of art attracted the interest of all employees working at Sterling Cooper. On the other hand, Betty learned a dreadful truth from Jimmy.

‘A Night to Remember’ was really worth to be remembered so I still remember it. Here, we saw that Duck and Don tried to appeal to a new market demographic. Harry’s department was dealing with heavy workload and he found assistance from an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Peggy is convinced by father Gill to become a part of a pro-bono church project.

Well, for me ‘The Jet Set’ was also very fantastic. Don took a business trip to Los Angeles. We saw him hooking up with some new acquaintances. Sexy Peggy was in mood of an office romance.

Season finale ‘Mediations in an Emergency’ showed Don and Betty learning about some distressing news. Besides the above mentioned ones, ‘The Mountain King’, ‘Six Month Leave’ and ‘Three Sundays’ were also very enjoyable.

‘Mad Men‘ is now about the leave the screen for a while. I haven’t got any news whether the third season is coming or not. But as per the previews of the next episode to be aired on 26^th of October, I don’t think that the show will not renew for its next season. The next episode will be “Meditations in an Emergency”. In this episode, Sterling Cooper is gonna face some major troubles. Now the concentration of story line will diverts from personal lives of its workers, towards the higher level problems. Now let’s see if Streling Cooper survives or this season finale will be the series finale.

I mean, there is a possibility that Sterling Cooper won’t go with the problems it is facing and can come on the verge of closure. This is also possible that it may have that big profit after going through troublesome situations that it becomes a success. May the second one happens.

While Don is away, it will be really difficult to handle the company by the rest of the people, so I think my second possibility can become true. As far as I guess, after a round of tough times, eventually Don will come to know about the situation and he’s the only one who always drags the company out of trouble.

Anyway, whatever happens next! the season premiered with amazing changes. Contemporary equipment in conventional Sterling Cooper, can you believe? You have to, because it really happened. This was the thing which made many people curious to watch this new season. Who could resist the rigid Don’s modern ways of working? But yes I have one complaint about this season that it entirely revolved around the personal lives of its people. There was least like corporate matters, which should be there.

Just hope that the next season comes and after recovering the previous deficiencies. Till then keep downloading this season’s highlighting episodes. Choice is yours!!!!

Finally Madmen are here on silver screen, as it intrigued in our living rooms with “For Those Who Think Young“.

The title is really suitable to the episode. This is really the episode for the people who think young. Have you seen it? I hope you didn’t miss it. I caught it at the right moment and I must say what a come back, now I don’t regret if after fourteen long weeks. After all they worked hard on it during the time period. So eventually after continuous denials of pregnancy by Peggy, she secretly gives birth to the kid. It’s a baby boy or girl? Sorry I forgot to notice. Because the more attention worthy thing was, Pete Campbell is the father of the illegitimate. Well now it will create a scene that how she will handle this baby while working. Will it be proved like a trauma for her or she will enjoy the motherhood. What will be Pete’s reaction/ will he share some responsibility and what will happen when his wife will come to know about his fling with Peggy. Moreover what will be Draper’s reaction to the thing? Will he be sympathetic to Peggy or will be angry with Pete. But I don’t think he will interfere in Pete’s matter at least. But yes he can perhaps become a helping hand for Peggy. Obviously poor Peggy is pretty sad with the matter.

On Draper’s part he is struggling hard for perpetuality of success of his company and for this lot much buzzing over the new equipment is going on. Moreover there was lot about Don and Duck’s tensions and Betty’s old friend. But still Peggy remained the center attraction of the episode. The entire episode was quite entertaining and worth appreciation. For my kind of people, only this thing is enough that Mad men is back at last and no more wait ahead other than six days, that I can do easily. You know when it was off screen I spent my time in watching its previous episodes here. Nonetheless, I got in touch with many sites which I had never visited in search of some updates about the new season.

Hey buddies, so how was your weekend? I hope it was rocking. Anyways you know on this weekend I got amusing news about ‘Mad men’ on buddy TV. You won’t believe, ‘Mad Men’ has succeeded to win the hearts of critics this year. It has bagged maximum number of awards in the TCA Awards function leaving other hit shows behind in the row. It has got Awards for, Best New Program, Best Drama and Best Program of the year. This is very surprising for me that the show has got all the three awards for the show itself and not on the behalf of it’s cast or technical crew like many other shows have such awards only in their pockets.

Well John Hamm, the Don Draper on the show accepted the awards. In fact I was speculating this since long, because the storyline and theme of the show is very catchy and it has got popular in just one year. Now it is coming back with its second season on 2nd of September and I am desperately waiting for this.

In fact this weekend I came online to search some updates about the coming season and I got this news on buddy TV and then I switched on here to watch the previous episodes, as the news made me feel little nostalgic for the show. I’ve only one best friend Mike and he’s my best friend because our tastes and choices are quite similar. I can say he’s my other self on the planet. That is why Mad Men is our favorite show. We normally visit here to download and watch its episodes in evenings or on weekends together. Now we are watching its first season for the second time from the beginning.

The reason behind its being our favorite show is that this show is the perfect blend of professional as well as emotional drama and the story line is well weaved as per the contemporary scenario. So this is a very healthy entertainment too. I would too like to run an advertising agency after completing my studies and I am getting great ideas from the show.

Old is gold. The saying has been proved right by the ‘Mad men’ of 60s. It is easy to win hearts of the viewers and hook them up with the show by means of right story line, rich star cast and right advertising of the show. But there is nothing exact what can shut the mouths of critics. But Mad men have made it. You will be surprised to know that Mad men has snatched away four nominations out of the five saved for AMC, where it got aired. These nominations are for 2008 Television Critics Association Awards.

All of us are desperately waiting for the series and a very little time is left now till July. But may be it will win an award before it is aired again. It has got nominated for the categories of ‘Program of the year’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement in Drama’. Besides this will enter ‘Outstanding new program of the year’ category too and John Hamm, Don Draper of the show has been nominated for Individual achievement in Drama.

It is unbelievable that a series presenting the 1960’s storyline will be this successful and popular among the contemporary viewers. Who says people don’t like the old things. To be very honest I was not expecting this show to come in nomination even. Because, there are several other dramas running on TV which have quite similar storyline. But may be the sixty’s life style attracted more and more viewers. Secondly the show also depicts that how changes occurred in the social scenario of that time and we enjoy watching the old good times. But hey hey, that were not this good. After people in Draper’s ad-world were as corrupt at that time also as the success-hungry professionals of today are. But like the Draper says in the series “who cares”.

Mad Men season 1 has over and the season finale ‘The Wheel’ was aired on 10-18-2007. Series is on hiatus after that. And fans are not happy, obviously, it happens when great series meet with suspension. And, I do know how unmanageable all that is as these days I am so frustrated because of Mad Men cancellation.

But, now the black period is over as AMC announced that Mad Men will be renewed for a second season. It was definite as we all know that Mad Men has been a critical favorite this season and done very very well. Keep it up, mad men…… just joking.

This summer will bring Mad Men back with 13 episodes schedule. I hope this news is splashing so get ready to splash with Mad Men. Wanna know what will happen on season 2??? Oh! I don’t know buddies but wanna know. Have any ideas about upcoming episodes?? I don’t have but pretty sure that season 2 will solve the entire cliffhangers left buy season 1. What says?? Yup, definitely. So, get ready to rock with Mad Men episode this summer. Me, I am already ready, Man. Even it’s hard for me to stop my self. What to do??? Let’s wait for season 2 premiere & stay tuned.
